The Originals season 1, episode 19, “An Unblinking Death,” airs tonight, and we are more than a little bit worried for our favorite characters. That title does not bode well for their survival!
Last time on ‘The Originals’:
Elijah lost his patience once and for all with Klaus when he learned of Klaus’ underhanded dealings with the werewolves. He let Klaus know that the gloves are off, and he isn’t going to stop himself from taking what he wants anymore. (May we make a suggestion for your first act of independence, Elijah? Cough. HAYLEY. Cough)
Anyway, back in the bayou, the werewolves are prepping their own little plot. They are going to use Klaus’ help as long as he’s offering it, but as soon as he insinuates that he is out for himself, they are going to protect their own.
While everyone is working behind everyone else’s back, Klaus is trying to negotiate help for Cami’s Uncle Kieran with Genevieve. She pretends to have helpful intentions, but in the end, Genevieve refuses and Kieran is doomed to be the second member of his family to fall victim to this particular hex.
Tonight’s episode promises all kinds of action and some heartfelt moments as we have both explosions in the bayou and a little electroshock therapy in the Quarter.

Have no fear! If you find yourself unable to catch the episode live, you can watch The Originals season 1, episode 19 online. You can catch it on the CW’s website usually within 24 hours of the initial airing. Also, Huluplus subscribers can also catch up on Hulu, as the episodes are usually posted six hours or so after airing, and a little later in the week for non-subscribers.
The easiest method is always to set your DVR, but you may also be able to catch The Originals by checking out the OnDemand section from your local cable provider. The OnDemand option is usually available the next day.
