In honor of National Siblings Day, we thought it would only be fitting to take a look back at some of our favorite Mikaelson sibling moments from The Originals.
Whether they’re bickering like cats and dogs or bonded together against a crazy parent, the Mikaelson siblings are never boring. They don’t always agree, heck, they never seem to all agree on anything, but they are passionate and devoted to surviving no matter what life throws at them. Well, most of them are, we can’t seem to figure out what exactly Finn is ever looking for.
They can never seem to get all their ducks in a row and just be happy as a family, but that’s what keeps their drama so intriguing. Here are a few of our favorite moments:
Like the time Klaus actually made a little sense
It’s always equal parts infuriating and vindicating when you find yourself actually agreeing with all the Originals at once. Klaus may be in the wrong, but even when he’s wrong he’s right, and that is basically the Mikaelson family in a nutshell.
And the hundreds of times they get snarky with each other
Because if you can’t tease your brother about his knack for killing people, who can you tease?
Then there are those rare moments when at least a few of them find a moment of peace
If there’s one thing that baby Hope has brought to the Mikaelsons, it’s a resurgence of Rebekah’s need to be the doting aunt-type, documenting their lives and bringing them together for holidays and such.
Or when they stick together to try and survive whichever parent is after them
Who could forget watching the Always and Forever clan separating to survive their vampire hunter father, Mikael? Talk about heart breaking. They really will do just about anything for one another.
No matter what, they’re always there in the darkest of times
Despite their differences, when something truly horrible is happening or one of them needs the support of the others, they’re there. Well, most of them are. Finn is usually the cause of death.
