The Originals fans that may have been distraught over hearing that Daniel Sharman wouldn’t be on their screens for Teen Wolf season 4 have a reason to celebrate now.

Following the amazing work of Teen Wolf season 3B, we were saddened to hear that Daniel Sharman had asked to be released from the show, but little did we know what this meant for fans of The Originals!

The lovely Daniel Sharman has been cast as Kaleb who seems to take a page from both Elijah and Klaus’ books according to this character description from Eonline, but with one small difference: he’s no vampire. He’s a witch. “Intent on wreaking havoc, wooing women and causing as much chaos as possible, Kaleb has been deeply wounded by a horrific family upbringing and covers his emotional bruises with a wicked sense of humor, as well as a wicked temper. When you’re on his good side, there’s no better party. Get on his bad side? Well, you’ll regret it.”

It’ll be nice to get a male perspective on the Quarter’s coven as most of the witches we have seen on the show so far have been female. We can’t help but wonder who will fall under Kaleb’s spell in season 2. Could Davina or Genevieve fall for his smoldering good looks and folksy charm? Only time will tell.

All of Daniel’s hard work bringing Isaac Lahey’s tortured past to the screen will come in handy here as well, it seems, as Kaleb has a bit of a tortured existence. Will Kaleb be a foe to our Original brothers or an ally? Only time will tell.

Whose side do you think Kaleb will take when he appears in ‘The Originals’ season 2?
