Tonight is the night. The Newsroom‘s 25th and final episode, “What Kind of Day Has It Been?” airs and we all say goodbye to the News Night crew.

It’s felt like forever in coming, but tonight is the night we bid adieu to Will McAvoy, Mackenzie McHale, Jim Harper, Maggie Jordan, Sloan Sabbith, Don Keefer, Neal Sampat, Charlie Skinner and everyone else on the News Night staff.

It hasn’t always been an easy road, but in its 25 episodes, The Newsroom has told some truly amazing stories, produced some compelling drama, and created some characters that we have truly grown to love. We will miss Will’s absent mind and quick wit, Sloan’s snappy comebacks and general awesomeness, Mac’s lovable incredulity, and so, so much more.

We can expect to see everyone looking back on fond memories as they take some time to celebrate Charlie’s life after his sudden death at the end of last week’s episode. We can also expect to see Neal return to the newsroom, now that Will has been released, and it seems that the government is abandoning its pursuit of the leak, with the reported death of Lily, the woman who revealed herself as the source to Mac.

It may be a sad day for The Newsroom fans, but we can and will look back on the three seasons worth of laughs, tears, gasps, and grimaces and remember the incredible work that has gone into this show.
