The moment we’ve all been waiting for has FINALLY arrived. The trailer for The Newsroom season 3 is here, and we definitely got chills. This is gonna be one heck of a final season.

After watching this trailer, it’s hard to believe that this is the end. This trailer evokes all the emotions we felt watching season 1. It looks like it will truly be a fitting end to a series that just never quite got the solid footing we all were hoping for. Now all we can do is count down the days til November 9 and comfort each other.

Check out the trailer and read on for our thoughts on some of its most important moments:

It’s hard not to be moved by that. This truly seems like it will send this show off with a flourish. Getting on to the moments we think are important to point out:

– Will: “We don’t do good TV, we do the news.” While we don’t know what Will is responding to here, this is just another step forward on his mission to civilize. Not surprising, but most definitely something we are looking forward to seeing get wrapped up.

– We knew they were going to be covering the Boston Marathon bombings, but it seems as if this will kick off the social media storyline that was hinted at in the ‘Invitation to the set’ video released a couple weeks ago.

– Will: “Two times in 24 hours that law enforcement had to publicly disclose information because either a paper or a website put someone’s life in danger.” Yeah. That’s intense. We are definitely looking forward to seeing how the News Night team covers the bombings and the social media frenzy that took over that day.

– Don: “Are we a couple?”
Sloane: “I don’t understand the question.”
Don: “Yeah, you do cause this is exactly how I act in the same situation, suddenly I pretend I’m dumb and hearing impaired.”
Oh Don and Sloan, how we will miss you. Can’t say I’m not anxious to see how these two lovebirds are making their mutual awkwardness work as a couple.

– Neal: “Somebody’s trying to give me classified government documents.” Oh, Neal. This promises to be a crazy season for his character, which we hope does not end with him in prison for one thing or another.

– Will: “She is an idiot savant.” Well, doesn’t this just describe some of the craziness of News Night and ACN News over the last few seasons. It’s not always pretty, but somehow they manage to hit ‘right’ in there somewhere.

– Reese: “You ever think he might be doing this for you.” Whether you are anxious to see Will and Mac’s relationship develop or not, there’s no secret of the fact that Will is most definitely not just doing this for himself. Since the beginning, he has been doing News Night 2.0 for Mac, and it’s high time someone just flat out reminded her of that.

– Also, it’s worth noting that there is a distinct lack of Jim and Maggie in this trailer. Are they merely players in the Neal and Reese drama this season? Will we get some sort of closure for each of their characters before the screen fades to black at the end of the sixth episode? Only time and Sorkin will tell. A little more than a month is all that separates us from the final 6 episodes of The Newsroom and it definitely looks like the show will be going out with a bang.
