Well, it’s not exactly new footage, but it is a look at season 3 of The Newsroom, so of course we’re ridiculously excited about it.
We still don’t know much about what Sorkin has in store for us in The Newsroom season 3, but our first actual look at the set is here in a 30-second teaser that shows, well… the actors on set. We get a look at Aaron Sorkin on the job, and many of our favorite cast members in front of the camera once again.
Hopefully this means it’s only a matter of time before we start getting the juicy details, the plot synopses, and an actual idea of what story these final six episodes are going to tell.

And, just in case you missed it, we did get the slightest of glimpses of The Newsroom season 3 in the HBO Fall season trailer last week, but it’s a ‘blink and you’ll definitely miss it’ kind of situation.
We get Will saying, “Don’t reach for common ground. Reach for higher ground,” which certainly sounds like par for the course for Will’s ‘misson to civilize’ that he’s been on since the pilot.
Another moment that stands out is Mac at a shooting range. Is she blowing off some steam? Picking up an old hobby? Or refreshing her skills in order to protect herself? Only time (and Sorkin) will tell.
