In just three short weeks, the long wait for The Newsroom season 2 will be over, but to tide us over until then, a short clip has been discovered containing a hint at how The Newsroom may be covering the Occupy Wall Street movement.

In this clip, Will McAvoy is interviewing a member of the Occupy Wall Street movement. She does not appear to be a leader of any sort, but also seems to want to be shown as such. As per usual, Will does not let her off easy.

For the first clip from the The Newsroom season 2, this is definitely a confirmation that while Sorkin may have made a few changes, the spirit of season 1 is alive and well at News Night. Will has never let anyone escape an interview at the desk without a scar or two, and he certainly isn’t backing down now.

In addition to the News Night interview footage, we also get a glimpse at both Mac and Neal’s reactions to the interview with the Occupy representative.

Mac seems mostly exasperated at how Will is treating this interviewee. She can’t seem to get comfortable with how the interview is going. She may be thinking that he is taking it too far, but from only a few facial reactions, it’s hard to solidify exactly what her thoughts are on this subject, but there is definitely something unsettling to her.

Neal definitely comes off as worried. He appears to have a deeper interest in the Occupy Wall Street movement than anyone else, and gets visibly upset when the representative at the desk makes a few poor choices to answering Will’s questions.

There is also a twenty-six second “Special Report” from HBO which solidifies news we have heard over the last few weeks, but is still fun to check out while we wait.

Only 20 days left until we get to see the premiere episode of The Newsroom season 2, and we are getting more and more excited as we inch ever closer to seeing our favorite characters back on screen.

What do you think of Will’s interaction with the Occupy Wall Street representative?
