Only five more days until we finally get to see what Aaron Sorkin and company have cooked up for us for The Newsroom season 2. As we wait, the cast makes their rounds doing interviews and talk shows galore.

Lately, it’s been a little too quiet on The Newsroom season 2 news front, but we have all been waiting patiently for July 14 to get here. As the date creeps ever closer, the cast have appeared from the top secret Sorkin bunker to give a few interviews and chat with some lovely people about the show.

Jeff Daniels hit the set of Jimmy Fallon last week and brought with him a short clip from season 2 of The Newsroom in addition to singing Sorkin’s praises. If you are interested in seeing the first half of his interview with Fallon where they discuss Daniels’ work on Arachnophobia (ugh, spiders!) you can do so here, but here’s the segment with the clip:

While we don’t know exactly what episode or in what context this scene will end up, it certainly has us salivating for more.

Daniels also had a quick chat on Good Morning America and discussed the ever-evolving relationship between Will and Mackenzie.

Olivia Munn made a very recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael and chatted a bit about The Newsroom, her new place in NYC, and her birthday. She also brought with her a different clip from The Newsroom season 2 where Sloane and Charlie go toe to toe and Sloane gets a little cheeky:

We think its absolutely brilliant that Munn brings a bit of her own spunk to Sloane, and when asked about what qualities she and Sloane share, she responded with, “I will stand up for what I think is right, even if it means it will cost me.” Is it possible to love her even more?

You can also catch Olivia Munn on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight (July 10), and Jeff Daniels on Late Night with Craig Ferguson on July 12.

Are you ready for ‘The Newsroom’ season 2 to finally arrive?
