The Newsroom season 1 is finally available for DVD and Blu-ray pre-order, and it looks like you can get your hands on it (along with some great special features) before season 2 begins airing on HBO.

Finally! The Newsroom DVD has been in a state of limbo, but we finally have a set release date: June 11, 2013. That means you should have time to watch the DVD and devour all of the special features before season 2 of The Newsroom returns to HBO screens in late June 2013.

HBO is listing an abridged version of the special features on its website; however, from the artwork photos uploaded on Amazon, we are able to give you a full list.

Mission Control: A behind-the-scenes look at the state-of-the-art sets with the cast and crew.

Inside The Episodes: Get the inside perspective on each of the episodes with revealing interviews from Creator and Executive Producer Aaron Sorkin.

Audio Commentaries: Five audio commentaries with cast and crew including Aaron Sorkin, Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer and many more.

Deleted Scenes: Watch deleted scenes that didn’t make the final cut.

In addition to these features, the Blu-ray edition also includes a digital copy and HBO select.

The Blu-ray version contains six discs, while the DVD contains four. Amazon is putting the runtime for both versions at 725 minutes.
