There are a few things that always work on The Newsroom: the characters and the quotes. Here are a few of our favorites from in and out of the ACN newsroom.

Whether you love the show, or love to hate its politics, there is one thing that is hard to deny, The Newsroom is chock full of characters that you cannot help but love, both in and out of the actual newsroom. The show’s three season run ends this Sunday night, and we couldn’t help but want to celebrate everything that has helped us fall in love with the show. In that spirit, here are our favorite quotes/moments for each character, one in, and one out of the ACN newsroom.

Will McAvoy

Maggie Jordan

Out of the newsroom:“I’m a typical single woman in New York City! I don’t wear heels to work because the typical woman’s job doesn’t exclusively involve gallery openings. And I know Carrie must have made boatloads writing her 800-word column for a newspaper no one’s ever heard of, but I just spent my last $7 having a fight with my best friend who, by the way, is not available at 3:00 p.m. on a Wednesday to console me about some guy, because she, too, has a job. And mostly, when you fall for a guy and he’s going out with your best friend, it doesn’t work out. Things get really bad!” – Season 1, episode 10, “The Greater Fool.”

But once in a while, take three seconds – you can’t spare more than that – take three seconds to notice where you are and what you’re doing. Will’s gonna go on the air in a few minutes so that we can report that at the order of the President of the United States, US Special Forces have shot and killed Osama bin Laden.” – Season 1, episode 7, “5/1.”
