The Muppets are returning to primetime television with their own series aimed at an adult market!

ABC has ordered The Muppets series (yes, titled The Muppets) for a full season. It’s described as “a contemporary, documentary-style show that, for the first time ever, will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages.”

The new Muppets series recently produced a pilot presentation which was reportedly beloved by ABC executives, according to EW. The first still from the series is above.

Count us excited for this one.

The Muppets were last seen in the 2014 Disney film Muppets Most Wanted co-starring Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais, a sequel of sorts to 2011’s The Muppets starring Jason Segal and Amy Adams.

It’s been a busy night for ABC. The network renewed a slew of their beloved shows tonight, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, Castle, Scandal, Galavant, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Nashville, and more.
