Tivo shared some interesting statistics this morning concerning viewing patterns for last night’s Super Bowl. According to preliminary data from CBS, Super Bowl 2013 was the most-watched in history.

From 30,000 devices scattered across the country whose data it collects from, Tivo says Taco Bell’s “Live Mas” commercial was the top ad which viewers rewound to watch a second time. In it, older people go out for a night of fun.

The commercial featured a Spanish version of Fun.’s 2012 hit single “We Are Young.” This version of the song was not performed by the band (at least we don’t think so). This was one of our favorite commercials Sunday night. The song choice was a fun and unique departure from what’s been heard by everyone over the past year whether through radio or other television ads.

Rounding out the top five most-watched ads were…

Doritos’ “Goat For Sale”

Hyundai Santa Fe’s “Pick Your Team”

Doritos’ “Fashionista Daddy”

GoDaddy’s “Perfect Match”

As for other watching patterns last night? Beyonce’s halftime show was the most-watched part of the Super Bowl’s first half, and viewership picked up as the San Francisco 49ers surged and nearly made a comeback.
