One of the best parts being a fan of Harry Potter is all the incredible merch. But sadly, there are some things most of us will never own.

Being a fan of Harry Potter as a kid could be fun but frustrating, especially when you knew that there was so much great merchandise out there, and your parents wouldn’t buy you any. Even getting Harry Potter stickers was worth celebrating, as you decked out all your possessions with as much Wizarding-World-related stuff as you could. Now, if only you could get a wand made especially for you…

Of course, with growing up comes the harsh reality that your parents didn’t buy you that custom-made wand or that Firebolt replica because merch is really frickin’ expensive. And even if you’re able to save up to buy some of the stuff you dreamt of having as a kid, there’s always much cooler stuff that makes you wish your Gringotts vault was as full as Harry’s. Or maybe the Malfoys’.

So here’s a wishlist that I think many of us Harry Potter fans in our 20s have had in mind for a while — and hey, if a generous millionaire is reading this, maybe this is a sign that you should help a poor fan out there fulfill their dreams?

ALL the Funkos

If there’s anything we should really be blaming Millennials for, it’s the fact that they contributed to creating the monster that is Funko Pops. Why are they so cute? Why do we instantly get the urge to collect them all?

If you’ve bought one Funko Pop, odds are you’ll be stuck in a never-ending cycle of trying to buy new ones. And with the sheer amount of Harry Potter Funkos (there are over 70 of them, last I checked!), it would probably take years. And you would easily spend over $1000, as well as fill your house with bobbleheads that could probably take up their own wall.

The Chess Set

Naturally, one of the best sets of all the Harry Potter movies is also one of the ones we want in our house the most: the chess set from Philosopher’s Stone. After reading the books, we all dreamed of being able to play chess like witches and wizards.

This super-expensive chess set is absolutely beautiful and a perfect replica of the movie’s chess pieces. Although they aren’t made of stone, they definitely look the part.

The best thing about this set is the reviews asking if it’s actually voice-controlled. Now that would be worth it.

All the beautiful Hogwarts paintings

The most unappreciated part of Harry Potter is all the paintings that came of it. Not only concept art — although the concept art alone could make you cry because of how beautiful (and sometimes scary) it is — but also the paintings made by extremely talented fans, some of which can be found for sale on the internet.

They should be expensive, because of how much work goes into it, but sometimes I can’t help wishing I could dedicate my life to hanging up all the beautiful paintings of Hogwarts on all my walls.

ALL the LEGO Harry Potter sets

All of them. We need all of them. Specifically the Hogwarts set, but really all of them. And if you’ve played the LEGO Harry Potter videogames, then you’re definitely, like me, itching to actually build the entire wizarding world. And you would also be able to collect all the little LEGO characters!

Apparently, all of the LEGO Harry Potter sets add up to about $10,000. So. Yeah.

A Nimbus 2001

Yes, there are many different Harry Potter broom replicas that a person can want, and the Nimbus 2001 does have the unfortunate association to Draco Malfoy and the Slytherin team, but can we admit that among all the brooms the Nimbus 2001 remains the fanciest and sleekest of all magic brooms?

No matter how old you are, you can’t tell me that you don’t really really want to have a life-size replica of a broom to play Quidditch on, or at least keep next to your door as if you could take off any moment. It is kind of hard to justify spending over $400 on something that you can’t technically use for either flying or sweeping…

A Hogwarts replica

I need a big, heavy Hogwarts replica that can sit on my nightstand and give me good dreams of flying over the castle at night. I need to see its silhouette against the light filtering in through my bedroom window and the way a lamp’s light throws its shadow on my wall —

And yes, the full, authorized thing is over $600, which is probably just as much money as it would take you to buy a ticket to the U.K. and fall asleep on the grass near an actual castle but we can all dream.

A MACUSA wand holder

I actually had no idea that these existed until I was looking up the rest of the items on this wishlist, and oh Merlin I need it. Imagine hanging this thing up next to your door and having every member of the household place his or her wand neatly on its own little shelf. Just imagine.

The prices for it do start at $300, though, and it’s a lot more if you consider that you’re going to have to get every member of your family one of the following:

A custom wand

The first thing each witch or wizard needs is a wand, and its purchase is no small moment in a person’s life. From the moment we read the books, we dreamt of having a wand choose us — a wand that was special for us.

Since Pottermore, we can finally know what kind of wand would choose us, and Harry Potter wands are sold everywhere… however, most of the wands for sale are the wands of different characters, which means that it’s practically impossible to find a wand that’s really special.

That is, unless you’re willing to spend quite a bit on a custom wand.

There are options available online, which take your Pottermore wand specifications and turn them into a real wand with a real core. It’s… a lot, though. But… maybe it’s worth it?

I don’t know. I’ve been wrestling with these questions for years! In the meantime, we can all read the Harry Potter books and feel like we at least own a little piece of the story in our hearts.
