Shonda Rhimes guest stars as herself on The Mindy Project season 3, episode 5, “The Devil Wears Lands’ End,” airing Tuesday, October 14 at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.

Maybe the mega-super-producer is the reason for lack of promo images, or maybe so much happens in the episode they cannot show us ahead of time, but either way: we are excited for Tuesday night.

The Mindy Project has been moving like a high-speed train this season. Between Rhea Perlman’s guest appearance as Danny’s mom, and the relationship between Danny and Mindy picking up steam (more on that in another article coming soon), the show seems to have found it’s footing. While it’s still unsure about how to juggle/handle the slew of other characters – Jeremy, Peter, Tamra, Morgan, Beverly – it’s working out the kinks.

The official synopsis for ‘The Devil Wears Lands’ End’:

Mindy gets herself and Danny into trouble when she tries to fix the practice’s image in the eyes of the hospital’s new head of obstetrics. Meanwhile, Peter puts his grudge against Jeremy aside when he discovers that his colleague’s beer pong skills could help him beat TV creator Shonda Rhimes (guest-starring as herself), the reigning Dartmouth Alumni Match champion in the all-new “The Devil Wears Lands’ End” episode of The Mindy Project.
