Danny’s religion has always been a major character trait of his. So now that he’s having a baby out of wedlock with Mindy, it seems he wants to atone on tonight’s episode of The Mindy Project, “Confessions of a Catho-holic.”
Mindy is finally taking charge of her life. Throughout the entire duration of The Mindy Project she’s been strong-willed and a leader, but now she actually gets to prove it. Both with moving in with Danny (and having a baby with him), and opening her own fertility clinic, Mindy Lahiri has certainly evolved from those first episodes of the show.
Meanwhile, Danny is still pretty much the same Danny. Therefore, it’s unsurprising that his Catholic guilt starts to get to him tonight. What is surprising is his mother, Annette’s, reaction to the baby news: she was thrilled. Apparently becoming a grandmother outweighs your religious beliefs sometimes.
