It’s no April Fools joke, after weeks of anticipation, The Mindy Project returns tonight with season 2, episodes 15, 16. The one-hour spring premiere airs tonight on Fox!
We may not have liked the long two months The Mindy Project was on hiatus, but we did love the way the winter finale ended: with Mindy and Danny engaging in a full-on make-out session in the back of the plane back to New York City.
However, not everything will be smooth sailing once they land and reality sets in. Mindy had just sent Cliff an email about how much she still wants to be with him, and he is now determined to get her back. Furthermore, we think when Mindy attempts to break up with him, he doesn’t take it too well.
As eager as we are to see Mandy happen, Danny and Mindy work together so it’s not like they can dive right into this romance without thinking about the consequences. They’re mature adults who have largely put their careers ahead of their romances. Right?
Our prediction is that they will sneak around and try to keep their attraction on the down-low when in the office. But in the video preview below, Mindy can’t exactly resist Danny’s long eyelashes and soft lips (we don’t blame her.)
Finally, what lands Mindy in the hospital tonight? Well, knowing her, that explanation could run the gamut of possibilities.
Max Minghella is back, reprising his role as Richie, Danny’s brother, and Bill Hader returns as Tom, one of Mindy’s former boyfriends.
