The Mindy Project season 2, episode 8 “You’ve Got Sext” just finished airing on Fox. Now you can read our recap and discuss the story line with fellow fans.

Here are the highlights from The Mindy Project season 2, episode 8 “You’ve Got Sext”:

• Morgan tells Mindy that she looks horrible dressed in her scrubs and a vest. He argues with her but is a little embarrassed when Cliff shows in the elevator with a hot model.
• Mindy goes to the hospital to try and find her lost purse but the guy that handles it is on a date. Danny overhears and Mindy invites herself to stay with him for the night. She confesses that she’s worried her mother was already married with kids at her age.
• Back at the hospital Peter and Morgan find Mindy’s lost purse and read a text message from Cliff. Of course they can’t help but text him back – of course with her best interest in mind.
• When Danny asks Mindy who she has a crush on, she says she doesn’t want to tell him because they work in the same building and it won’t happen. He clearly thinks she’s talking about him. When they arrive at his apartment building, he has her pretend to be his girlfriend to avoid his crazy neighbor Amy.
• Morgan and Peter get a little too excited when they successfully flirt with Cliff on Mindy’s phone using emoticons. Somehow the conversation takes a turn and they start getting inappropriate.
• Mindy gets really into her story about how her and Danny got together. It includes a fake name (Chloe Silverado), engagement, their first night together, and their son on the way. Upstairs Danny is freaked out when Mindy joins him in bed to watch TV.
• When Danny says they need to talk Mindy starts admitting bad things she’s done that night – farting, spilling wine, and more farting. He wants her back on the couch but creepy neighbor had broken in.
• A high five is in order when Cliff texts that he thinks Mindy is hot. But Morgan and Peter are horrified when he immediately says he’s on his way over.
• When the crazy neighbor Amy tells Mindy that Danny cheated on her with him, she says she wants to hear all the “painful” details. When she tells Mindy that she has a key to Danny’s apartment, Mindy confronts him about it.
• To cover up what they’ve done, Peter and Morgan throw a party at Mindy’s apartment. They invite Heather to join them. To stop Cliff from leaving the party, they introduce him to Heather.
• Mindy forces Danny to apologize to Amy for dragging her along. Just as things seem to be going well he slips and accidentally calls her by her real name instead of the name she made up. But when they hug to prove their relationship, and Amy believes their story.
• Cliff figures out that something weird is going on. Peter and Morgan come clean about what they did and Cliff tells them to delete the texts. On the way out Heather invites him to his apartment.
• Still thinking Mindy was talking about him earlier, Danny tells her that the guy she likes isn’t out of her league. She’s confused when he doesn’t know she meant Cliff. But he brushes it off.
• When she gets at work Mindy finds her purse on her desk and listens to a voicemail from Heather. She’s shocked to hear Heather hooked up with Cliff and then finds all the texts in her phone form the pervious night. UH-OH!
