Now that they’re single again, Mindy attempts to jump back into the dating pool and Danny returns to his grouchy ways. New Girl’s Max Greenfield guest stars on The Mindy Project, airing tonight on Fox!
The only reason we are not freaking out about Mindy and Danny’s short-lived romance is due to Mindy Kaling’s reassuring, if not intriguing, tweets:

Alas, the show must go on! And what better guy for Mindy to use as a rebound than Max Greenfield’s ‘player’ of a character, Lee. His smirks in the photos below are very reminiscent of his New Girl character, Schmidt, meaning we’re probably in for a hilarious episode.
Meanwhile, Danny is out to help Tamra in the love department, and given his track record, we’ll assume his advice is questionable, at best. Given the preview below, something he does works because he walks in on Tamra and Morgan in a compromising state in the pantry. We know these two kind of have a flirtation (even if it’s been slightly one-sided on Morgans part) but we have heard their relationship does develop throughout the rest of the season.
The official synopsis for tonight’s episode of ‘The Mindy Project’:
“Peter encourages Mindy to think more like a man. To test his advice, they head out to a bar, where they meet Lee (guest star Max Greenfield), a smooth-talking first-grade teacher who is up to no good. Meanwhile, Danny tries to give relationship advice to Tamra in the all-new ‘Think Like a Peter.’”
