MTV has released the first official photos for The Maze Runner film starring Dylan O’Brien and Kaya Scodelario.
Five photos emerged from MTV this afternoon to paint an exciting picture for fans of the series.
In the first photo, Dylan O’Brien, playing the movie’s lead Thomas, looks on thoughtfully as he sits in the midst of the Glade.
Dirty and battered, O’Brien looks as if he belongs among the world James Dashner created in his book series.
The second photo is action packed as we see Thomas and the other Gladers fighting and struggling against an unknown element.
Perhaps this is when the Grievers will arrive?
In the third photo, the Gladers are surrounding The Box, which delivers new children to the group.
From the image it appears that the newest arrival is Teresa, played by Kaya Scodelario.
We get our first look at the maze wall itself standing epicly high in the background of this photo.
Finally, in the last image we see three of the movie’s leading men: Dylan O’Brien (Thomas), as well as Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt, and Ki Hong Lee as Minho. They are suiting up and preparing for battle.
The pictures give us the impression that Wes Ball and company have completely captured the spirit of the books.
Each actor looks perfectly chosen for their individual roles and the set itself has the rustic and tight knit feel of the Glade.
Fans of the book series have every reason to be excited. This movie adaptation looks more promising with every reveal.
