Wondercon opens its doors to The Maze Runner and fans get a few new movie images to encourage anticipation.

The Wondercon news came out yesterday in a quiet and understated way. But that hasn’t prevented fans from getting more than excited about the news.

From James Dashner’s events page we learn that the Maze Runner movie panel will be held on April 19, 12:45pm, at the Anaheim Convention Center.

No official word yet on who will be attending the panel, but we must assume that Dashner himself will be one of the guests in attendance.

Heavy speculation suggests that it’s likely Dylan O’Brien will be among the guests at the panel as well. He is currently filming Teen Wolf in the California area and a Saturday time slot should provide him with the opportunity to attend.

Other guests fans would love to see attending the panel include Wes Ball (director), Kaya Scodelario (Teresa), Will Poulter (Gally), Thomas Brodie Sangster (Newt), Ki Hong Lee (Minho) Aml Ameen (Alby), or Blake Cooper (Chuck). It has been some time since the Maze Runner cast has been seen together and a Wondercon reunion would be more than welcome!

In adjacent news, the Maze Runner continues to release images from the movie and tease fans for the upcoming feature.

“I think it’s time we find out what we’re really up against.”

The first image looks like it comes from the moment in the trailer when Thomas makes his call to action. Pleading to Minho to make a move and find out what exactly they have facing them.

Both of these images feature Dylan O’Brien, and both incorporate elements from the original book series as well as moments from the film.

We also get another stunning look at the brilliant Kaya Scodelario playing Teresa.

The interaction between these two characters is said to have have been tailored a bit to fit a movie setting, but all indications point to their connection being as strong as ever. The book to movie adaptation doesn’t seem to have taken away from their relationship at all.

Who do you hope to see attend the ‘Maze Runner’ movie panel at Wondercon?
