The Matrix will be back on the big screen once more (though for only a limited time) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release!

Here’s your chance to see just how much Keanu Reeves hasn’t aged in the last 20 years.

It’s also your chance to see — either for the first time or once again — Keanu Reeves say such iconic lines as “I know Kung Fu,” “My name…is Neo,” and of course, the most iconic of all iconic lines: “Whoa.”

The Matrix, the Wachowski’s sci-fi classic and blockbuster hit, will have a limited run in select theaters in the U.S. to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The 1999 film will screen at select AMC locations and will be shown in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for the first time in its history, which means you’ll be able to see and hear all those stunning works of art called action scenes in the crispest, clearest ways possible.

The Matrix tells the story of Neo, a hacker who learns that the reality in which he is living is actually just a computer simulation called The Matrix. Reality is actually an apocalyptic world in which humans are at war with robots, and where humans are used essentially as batteries to power the vast amount of A.I.

The Matrix was a box office smash, critically well-received, and changed the way both movies were made and marketed. It was one of — if not the — first films to use viral marketing and transmedia elements to lure viewers to its showings, and the way in which it used technology, martial arts and filmed its fight scenes have had a major and ongoing impact on action franchises to this day.

Doug Darrow, senior vice president of Dolby Laboratories’ Cinema Business Group, said in a statement that, “Bringing The Matrix to life in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos pays homage to the masterpiece that the Wachowskis created 20 years ago. Movie lovers will be able to see and experience unforgettable sequences like bullets flying in slow motion with the utmost detail – transforming one of the most iconic sci-fi films of this generation.”

Showings for the 20th Anniversary celebration of The Matrix will begin on August 30th. Tickets are available for purchase at Dolby Cinema at AMC locations and on the AMC theater website.
