The Mandalorian season 2 has found its newest cast member in Aliens vet Michael Biehn.

According to Deadline, actor Michael Biehn is the latest newcomer to join the cast of The Mandalorian season 2 over at Disney+.

Biehn’s casting comes hot on the heels of word that Rosario Dawson has also signed on to appear in the highly anticipated second season of the live action Star Wars series.

Dawson, who joined the cast just last week, is reportedly set to play Ashoka Tano in the series’ second season.

First introduced in the animated series, The Clone Wars, Ashoka Tano once apprenticed under Anakin Skywalker himself before going on to become a leader of the resistance in Star Wars Rebels. To that extent, we’re sure fans of both animated series will be excited to see how Ashoka Tano fits into the fold of Mando’s journey come season 2.

As for Biehn, there’s currently no word on who he’ll be portraying, or how many episodes he’ll be featured in.

In other casting news, it’s also been announced that stand-up comedian Bill Burr has also signed on to appear in season 2. He’ll be reprising his role as the mercenary Mayfeld.

Fans of The Mandalorian will likely recall that Mayfield and Mando originally cross paths in the first season’s sixth episode when Mando joins a crew of mercenaries on a dangerous mission.

To say that Mando and Mayfeld end things on a bit of a sour note is an understatement. With that in mind though, it’ll be interesting to see what transpires when the two come face to face once again.

Currently, no specific release date for The Mandalorian season 2 has been announced, but new episodes are expected to start streaming exclusively via Disney+ sometime in October 2020.
