The Lizzie Bennet Diaries has picked up an Emmy award for their interactive elements. How did the cast and crew react to the news?

The juried winners for Creative Arts Emmys were recently announced, and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries has won the Emmy for Original Interactive Program.

The Emmy was awarded to Jay Bushman (Transmedia Producer), Bernie Su (Executive Producer) and Alexandra Edwards (Transmedia Editor).

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be awarded on Sunday September 15.

Transmedia was one of the defining features of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and we spoke to the show’s Transmedia Producer earlier this year about all of the considerations that go into creating interactive material for the audience.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries featured Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and other social media accounts, as well as Q&A videos, spin-off channels, and more.

‘The Lizzie Bennet Diaries’ team reacts:

Ashley Clements (Lizzie Bennet):

Hank Green (co-creator)

Mary Kate Wiles (Lydia Bennet)

Bernie Su (showrunner and co-creator)

Laura Spencer (Jane Bennet)

Jenni Powell (producer)

Julia Cho (Charlotte Lu)

Jay Bushman (transmedia producer)

Daniel Vincent Gordh (William Darcy)

Alexandra Edwards (transmedia editor)

Allison Paige (Gigi Darcy)

And one more to finish, from John Green, who was not involved in the production of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries in any way, but who is a supportive and proud big brother. Aw!
