The Legend of Korra season 4, episode 2, “Korra Alone,” gives us a glimpse at what Korra’s been up to for the past three years.

In the clip previously released for The Legend of Korra season 4, episode 2 “Korra Alone,” Korra departs from Team Avatar after her fight with the Red Lotus to spend some time healing back at her hometown.

Chronologically, the last we saw of Korra she was earthbending cage fighting, and pretending not to be the Avatar. Given the title “Korra Alone,” we can assume that this episode will cover the details of the story that led up to Korra going undercover.

A significant scene in this episode will be Korra’s cutting of her own hair. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender will recognize that this scene is reminiscent of the time that Zuko and Iroh did the same in the opening of season 2.

It will also be interesting to see how Korra healed from her grievous injuries. No doubt Katara will be instrumental in getting our Avatar back into fighting-fit shape.

Who else had Korra interacted with throughout these three years? Perhaps she had done her best to avoid talking to anyone, ala “Zuko Alone.”

We suspect that this episode will be a touching story, with co-creator Bryan Konietzko mentioning that he considers “Korra Alone” to be one of his strongest artistic accomplishments in the series. That’s a pretty high bar to set up for yourselves, Bryke!
