You’ve read every news story, feature, interview, and episode recap during our The Legend of Korra season 2 return celebration. Now, get feelbendy with us as we reflect on the amazing experience!

All three of our SeptBender writers chimed in with their final thoughts on the return of The Legend of Korra!

Mitch

When our lead The Legend of Korra writer, Michal, suggested to me that we do a Hypable feature month for The Legend of Korra season 2, I agreed wholeheartedly!

As we began planning two months in advance, I realized the LARGE task we had in front of us.

Nonetheless, I was wiling to stick through with it until the end, and I couldn’t have been happier that I did.

I feel closer to not only our readers, but these two women. I can’t believe the amount of teamwork and dedication that it took to line up every single duck. I wouldn’t have survived the insanity that was SeptBender if it wasn’t for them.

Thank you for reading our articles, Avatards, and I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts as I continue to cover The Legend of Korra on Hypable!

Caitlin

When Michal and Mitch asked me to be a part of SeptBender over the summer, I was thrilled since I don’t cover Avatar and Korra for Hypable but have long loved both shows.

The project was a lot of work but also a great opportunity to spend time in a fandom of which, while I love the series, I only find myself on the periphery. Reading everyone’s comments on the SeptBender articles and sharing in the enthusiasm of our readers has been amazing.

But more than that, it was a joy to work with Michal and Mitch and watching something so big come together. I was going through some health issues during the planning stages of SeptBender and the project helped give me something to focus on and two amazing people to support me through some hard times.

So as I head back to covering Supernatural and Nikita for Hypable, I want thank you, the readers, for embracing this amazing undertaking.

Michal

Guys, I owe a lot to The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The stories of the Avatar-verse have inspired me creatively, and helped me connect with amazing people. Writing for The Legend of Korra was what originally brought me to Hypable, and it’s given me so much than I ever thought possible.

So while I had no idea back in July how much effort it would take to pull of SeptBender, it has been a thrill and a privilege to spend so much time thinking, writing, and even dreaming about a series I love so much. Getting to know Mitch and Caitlin has been especially invaluable – we bonded over our mutual fandom, and it was an honor to work with such creative, insightful, and energetic people.

SeptBender has also been about getting to know our fandom in a way I hadn’t before. In reading the responses to our articles, I got to entertain new theories and consider different points of view – something I think I really grew from. It was wonderful to see familiar names pop up in the comments, and so much fun to connect with devoted fans on Twitter.

Though SeptBender might be ending (and I’m seriously tempted to tearbend) but our regular coverage of The Legend of Korra and Avatar: The Last Airbender will continue! I can’t wait to see our community continue to come together as The Legend of Korra kicks into high gear.

Thank you for reading, commenting, thinking, talking, shipping, sharing, and caring!

Extra-special thanks to Andrew, Richard, Camden, Jen, Selina, and Sonya for their help – and the entire Hypable staff for their support!
