The interactive digital book The Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience will be available for download tomorrow on iTunes. The book, which is a free download, will give fans an in-depth look at The Legend of Korra season 2, with storyboards, character profiles and animatic clips.

But if you can’t wait until tomorrow, several new characters’ images and descriptions have hit the web. These descriptions do include some spoilers for Book 2: Spirits, so skip the text if you want to remain spoiler-free!

First up, MTV Geek has shared two photos from The Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience, along with formal descriptions of new characters that hint at some very exciting tension set to rise in The Legend of Korra season 2.

The first information is the completed design for Korra’s father Tonraq, who we met very briefly back in Book 1.

Tonraq’s description discusses the character’s history, and what The Legend of Korra season 2 will have in store for Korra’s (extraordinarily well-built) dad.

Tonraq was a general in the Northern Water Tribe and next in line to be the Chief. As a warrior, he relied on his physical strength to protect the tribe and was never very connected to the spiritual world. He is brash and hotheaded, not unlike Korra. Now living in the South, he’s determined to live a simple life. But when fate intervenes, he’s forced to lead his people in battle against his own brother.

On the other side of the coin, the preview formally introduces fans to Unalaq, Korra’s uncle.

Unalaq’s description establishes his personality, as well as what may be the new character’s goals in The Legend of Korra season 2.

Tonraq’s younger brother. He is an incredibly powerful Waterbender who also has a strong connection with the Spirit World. Because of his deep spiritual connections, he always believed that he was better suited to rule the North and the South than his older, brutish brother. He’s a firm believer in the old ways of the Water Tribe and a true fundamentalist when it comes to honoring the Spirits.

Then from Comics Alliance comes information about Unalaq’s children, Desna and Eska.

The twins’ description hints at – you guessed it – more family drama.

Korra’s cousins are sixteen year-old twins who have a strange connection and seem to communicate without saying a word. They’re both Waterbenders, and when they work together they can accomplish amazing feats, such as shooting entire icebergs at opponents. Korra has always found them incredibly annoying because they look down on her for being a rube from the South, even though she’s the Avatar.

And finally, the new characters extend beyond Korra’s family to Varrick, a wealthy (and “fabulous”) mogul from the Southern Water Tribe.

Millionaire shipping magnate from the Southern Water Tribe. He’s a little eccentric, but very charismatic. He spends most of his time traveling the world on his monster yacht and living a fabulous lifestyle. Born a poor seal-hunter’s son, he built his business from a single canoe into a global power. A consummate dealmaker, he’s always looking for angles to expand his business empire. He is currently making a deal with Asami to become Future Industries’ shipping partner. There are rumors that he deals with underworld characters and gangsters if he thinks it will turn a profit, but that has not been verified.

It definitely looks like The Legend of Korra: Enhanced Experience will be giving more than just a cursory look at The Legend of Korra season 2. The book seems like a great kick-off to a month that will include the release of The Legend of Korra art book, Blu Ray and DVD, and soundtrack – in addition to the highly-anticipated panel at San Diego Comic Con.

News about The Legend of Korra season 2 has been scarce for months, but it’s looking like Korra and co. are about to make a roaring comeback.
