Like the turning of the tides, The Legend of Korra season 2 will be reborn in yet another time slot.

The airing schedule for The Legend of Korra season 2 has been adjusted once again. According to Korra Nation, new episodes of The Legend of Korra season 2 will now air on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. on Nickelodeon.

The Legend of Korra season 2 began its run in the 7:00 p.m. time slot on Fridays, and was recently shifted up to 8:30 p.m. Last week’s well-received episode “Beginnings” aired at 8 p.m., but this was assumed to be a temporary move to make room for the two-part episode.

Instead, it appears that the 8:00 p.m. time slot will be the new home for The Legend of Korra season 2 episodes. The time change is echoed by a listing on Zap2It that schedules this week’s upcoming episode, “The Guide,” for the slightly earlier time.

Nickelodeon has not offered an explanation for the shifting time slots, though some have speculated that ratings for The Legend of Korra season 2 may be a factor. The show’s ratings have been fairly disappointing this season – the highly-anticipated “Beginnings” episode only pulled in 1.73 million viewers – and Nickelodeon may be trying to find the best time to catch the show’s fans.

At any rate, though The Legend of Korra season 2 took a hiatus this past week, fans can get back into Korra’s adventures this Friday night with “The Guide.” The summary for the upcoming episode says:

Korra seeks Tenzin’s help to enter the spirit world for the first time.

It looks like Korra will return from her spiritual journey with Avatar Wan possessing a renewed sense of purpose – though as Harmonic Convergence approaches, the realm of the spirits certainly hasn’t seen the last of her.
