The Lego Movie is expected to have a huge weekend, despite East Coast snowstorms possibly keeping moviegoers from visiting the theater this Sunday.

Warner Bros.’ The Lego Movie is set to hit $45 million or more during its opening weekend, making the reported sequel seem like an even smarter move than we imagine the studio expected.

The unique trailers and favorable reviews have audiences ready to take the whole family to the spectacle which includes Batman, Wonder Woman, and half a dozen other incredible characters voiced by stellar actors.

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt voices the lead character, while he’s joined by Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman and Will Ferrell as the villain.

The film made a splash with its recent trailer featuring some hilarious superheroes and it seems to have worked as it’s all the rage right now. Morgan Freeman also read the phonebook in one trailer, proving he still has the best voice ever.

Variety reports that Warner Bros. spent massive ad dollars on older audience advertising, which means they expect to not only see the kids at the theater, but the 18 and older crowd as well.

And it’s not as if the film doesn’t have any competition this weekend, with Monuments Men and Vampire Academy opening as well.

Monuments Men also sports an impressive cast which includes Matt Damon, George Clooney, Bill Murray and John Goodman. Clooney directed the World War II film, which is expected to pull in just below $20 million this weekend.

While its mixed reviews will put a dent in its box office, the cast and original story should bring in a large older audience.
