The latest The Leftovers season 2 trailer reveals the instability of Jarden, Texas. What threats await the Garvey family in their new home?

The opening of the trailer describes the new location for The Leftovers season 2 as “The Jarden of Eden.” A place that remained unaffected from the event of October 14, the day when two percent of the world’s population suddenly disappeared. So what makes Jarden, Texas so special? The Garvey family hopes to find out when they move there.

Kevin, Jill, Nora, and Reverend Jamison all make their way down South looking for a fresh start following the near destruction of Mapleton, NY at the hands of the Guilty Remnant. But their personal history and tales of the Sudden Departure of October 14 are not welcome in the town that markets itself as the untouched “Miracle” of Texas.

It doesn’t look like Kevin can outrun his past anymore than the rest of the world. Perhaps the Guilty Remnant was onto something after all. Speaking of the GR, Patti Levin (Ann Dowd) once again makes an appearance in the final seconds of the trailer.
