Only three episodes remain for The Leftovers freshman season on HBO. Find out where to watch online and what to expect in this week’s episode.

The Leftovers season 1, episode 8 “Cairo” airs tonight on HBO. This week’s episode may prove to be the tipping point for Kevin Garvey’s sanity as well as the Guilty Remnant’s mission to creep into the lives of those whose loved ones disappeared on October 14.

The first season is nearing conclusion, but earlier this week, HBO announced that The Leftovers will return for a second season.

Kevin Garvey, Sr. escapes from his dwelling in the Mapleton psychiatric hospital in order to deliver an important message to his son. However convincing his argument may have been to Jill, Kevin Jr. cannot wrap his head around what the voices in his father’s head dictate. Failing to see the importance in an old issue of National Geographic, Kevin locks his father back in a cell. The eeriness of seeing Kevin’s seemingly sane father notice the signs of his son’s tumble into insanity, is another testament to the show’s ability to get under your skin.

Even though Kevin Jr. took the initiative to cleanse himself of his prescription induced nightmares, his true nightmares are just beginning.

This week on ‘The Leftovers’

The stills and clip from this week’s episode show Patti laying out clothes in the church the Guilty Remnant acquired from Reverend Matt. As the preview shows, Patti is not alone. With a nod, Laurie is on board for whatever lies ahead.
