James Corden takes over Hollywood — or at least puts in a solid effort — in the latest promo for his Late Late Show take-over.

British actor and comedian James Corden is taking over The Late Late Show from Craig Ferguson, and he really wants you to watch it.

Despite recently starring in Into the Woods, Corden is still relatively unknown in the U.S., which is obviously a big drawback as the new host of a talk show.

This cute little ad plays on Corden’s anonymity and affability:

The Late Late Show With James Corden premieres Monday, March 23 on CBS. Corden’s first guest is Tom Hanks, and One Direction are rumored to appear as well.

Other guests slated to appear in Corden’s first week are Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Kerry Washington.

Corden and his team have been working very hard to create a fun, loose and experimental show which plays to the actor’s strengths. Comedian and musician Reggie Watts will lead the house band, and we anticipate some fun banter between the two.

The show’s title sequence is said to have been directed by J.J. Abrams, with Mark Ronson composing the theme music.

Here’s another cool promo vid for Corden’s show, featuring One Direction… er, sort of:
