A Kodak Moment no more. Hollywood’s Kodak Theater – where each year’s Academy Awards have been held since 2001 – is going to be dropping the ‘Kodak’ title in light of the once-dominate photo company’s recent filing for bankruptcy.

It’s unknown if the name will be dropped before next weekend’s 84th Annual Academy Awards. Prior to the bankruptcy, Kodak and the theater had a deal for the naming rights through 2021.

The Kodak Theater is located at Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles and has become a tourism hot spot. Within the theater’s entry way is a huge hall which lists each Best Picture winner since the Oscars’ beginning.

Rumor has it that the Oscars may move to downtown Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater come 2014.
