A new The Kings of Summer red-band clip starring Nick Offerman humiliating police officers has been released.

The Kings of Summer is a coming of age story that, among other things, shows star Nick Robinson rebelling against his dad, Nick Offerman. In this new clip released from the movie, it looks like Robinson’s actions have gotten him in some trouble. Whatever disagreements Offerman and his son may have, it doesn’t stop him from making the police look foolish.

The Kings of Summer has been getting decent reviews so far. As of this Friday, May 31 morning writing, it currently stands at 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. From those who have seen it, it has been said that the real highlight of the film is Nick Offerman. Many critics have said that he’s at his absolute best in this role of a widowed dad not dealing well with the loss of his wife.

It is released to theaters today, May 31. Unfortunately, its release is a very limited one. Odds are that it won’t be playing anywhere near you (or this writer), at least for a while. Hopefully, it will pick up steam in the coming weeks, and CBS will see that the great supporting cast here would bring in ticket buyers across the country. Along with Offerman, Alison Brie and Megan Mullally also have roles.

Official plot description:

Premiering to rave reviews at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, “The Kings of Summer” is a unique coming-of-age comedy about three teenage friends – Joe (Nick Robinson), Patrick (Gabriel Basso) and the eccentric and unpredictable Biaggio (Moises Arias) – who, in the ultimate act of independence, decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land. Free from their parents’ rules, their idyllic summer quickly becomes a test of friendship as each boy learns to appreciate the fact that family – whether it is the one you’re born into or the one you create – is something you can’t run away from.
