The Killers have spoiled us with their third music video release in two weeks. The video for “Here With Me,” directed by Tim Burton and starring Winona Ryder (Edward ScissorhandsBlack Swan) and Craig Roberts (Submarine), follows recent efforts “Miss Atomic Bomb” and “I Feel It In My Bones.”

“Here With Me” encapsulates the ’80s tinged stadium rock vibe that permeates through Battle Born, the Killers’ most recent album from which “Here With Me” is the third single. A huge power ballad, made to be played live (during which Brandon Flowers, lead singer, asks the crowd to light up the place with their cellphones), “Here With Me” is one of Battle Born‘s anthems.

The music video for “Here With Me” was filmed in Blackpool on a break in the Killers’ recent U.K. arena tour. It sees Tim Burton direct his second Killers music video, after the award-winning “Bones” effort in 2006. Tim Burton and his partner, actress Helena Bonham Carter, also attended a recent Killers concert at London’s O2 Arena.

“Here With Me” sees Tim Burton at his creepiest, most gothic best, with a cruel twist in the last minute that elevates things to a whole new level of creepiness. We’re hoping that this collaboration means that Craig Roberts will become another of Tim Burton’s muses.

The Killers are currently touring North America, but have had to cancel several dates, including a show at Madison Square Garden, whilst Flowers recovers from a bout of laryngitis. It is not the first time the Las Vegas band has had to postpone dates this year; two Manchester concerts were cancelled after Flowers suffered from a sore throat.

“Here With Me” releases as a single on December 16.

What do you make of the video? Which track off Battle Born would you like to become a single next? We’re rallying for the title track.
