In a new The Imitation Game trailer, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, a genius cryptologist who leads the way in cracking the German Enigma Code which helped the Allies win World War II.

The Imitation Game focuses on Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code which was used to scramble communications during WWII.

Alan Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the U.K. government in 1952 for being a homosexual man, which the country deemed illegal at the time. Watch the new trailer below:

As we see in the new trailer, Keira Knightley is a fellow genius cryptologist, who helps Cumberbatch crack the German Enigma Code. These two actors were last seen together in 2007’s Atonement, where Knightley and James McAvoy fall in love during an impossible situation.

Benedict Cumberbatch is now a bonafide superstar, so we’re excited to see the two actors in Imitation Game, which saw great reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The Imitation Game will hit theaters November 14 in the U.K., and November 21 in the States.
