It was announced today that The Hunger Games will be showing in IMAX cinemas for one week only beginning March 23rd!
Don’t worry – it won’t be in 3D.
Imax will release a digitally remastered version of the teen tentpole across North America day-and-date with its wider theatrical release from March 23.
“With this news, the release of The Hunger Games has truly become an epic event,” said Lionsgate’s Joe Drake, who will stick-handle the movie’s release for the indie studio ahead of his exit following the takeover of Summit Entertainment
We presume tickets for IMAX theaters will go on sale the same day as regular theaters – February 22nd.
