The Hunger Games continues to show its strength. As of yesterday’s box office, the film has surpassed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 to become the highest grossing book-to-film adaptation domestically.

The film has made $381,039,319 in the United States. That’s juuuust over Deathly Hallows – Part 2 which made $381,011,219.

A very small difference, yes, but The Hunger Games still has a good one or two weeks in theaters (at least). So its number will continue to grow.

Speaking internationally, Deathly Hallows – Part 2 ($1.3 billion) is owning The Hunger Games ($618 million).
