Kirk Fogg is pulling his best adventure gear out of the closest as he prepares to star in Nickelodeon’s TV-to-Movie adaptation of The Legends of the Hidden Temple.

The new movie will be premiering later this year on Nickelodeon, as the network announced at the top of March. According to a statement from Nick, Kirk Fogg will have a role that “pays homage to his duties in the iconic ’90s game show.”

“When Nickelodeon asked me to be a part of the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, I immediately went to the closet and pulled out my blue denim shirt, which has been protected by a powerful golden force field since 1995,” said Fogg in a press release. “Legends is truly a legend, and I’m honored to be a part of it again. I’m sure the Ancient Olmec had something to do with this; that rock head is pretty sneaky.”

Nick also released a picture of Kirk back in his Legends gear for the movie. He looks the same, except for some changes by Father Time and the addition of a patch on his shirt:

Kirk Fogg appearing on the original Legends of the Hidden Temple series can be seen at the top of this article.

“The movie follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive,” according to THR.

“The TV movie will feature elements from the original game show including Olmec, a talking head who knows the secrets behind the temple; the Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar and silver snakes, among others.”

Nick has yet to set a release date for the movie, but do you plan on watching it? We’re here for Olmec.
