Today Warner Bros. released four very tall The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey banners offering beautiful new artwork and fresh looks at the lead characters.

Each one, in a size that is very un-Hobbit-like, offers a different group of characters. We’re more than sure you’ll be seeing these hanging from the highest points at your local movie theater.

Tickets for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey went on sale yesterday. Buy The Hobbit tickets now over on Fandango! By purchasing through Fandango you’ll receive a free song from the soundtrack composed by Howard Shore. Peter Jackson followers know that Shore also wrote the scores for all three Lord of the Rings films. We recommend purchasing early to ensure you get your ideal screening and/or seats for a midnight or evening showing!

Speaking of the soundtrack, yesterday we shared the first song available from Shore’s score entitled “Radagast the Brown.” You can read about the entire compilation in our previous report. Regular and special editions of the soundtrack will hit store shelves days before the film.

An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14. Part 2, The Desolation of Smaug will be
released
December 13, 2013. There and Back Again, part 3, opens July 18, 2014.
