The Flight Attendant season 2 is recruiting Natalie Chaidez to help out behind the scenes.

According to Variety, Natalie Chaidez has officially singed on to serve as co-showrunner and executive producer on The Flight Attendant season 2 over at HBO Max.

Chaidez comes equipped with an impressive resume, having worked as a showrunner and executive producer on USA’s Queen of the South as well as Syfy’s 12 Monkeys and Hunters.

For The Flight Attendant, she’ll split showrunner duties with series developer and executive producer Steve Yockey. Both Chaidez and Yockey take over showrunning duties from Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin, who were tasked with the job for the series’ inaugural season, but have since departed.

The series, which was renewed by HBO Max back in December, is based on author Chris Bohjalian’s New York Times best selling novel of the same name. Starring Kaley Cuoco (the Big Bang Theory), the story follows the titular Cassie Bowden after she wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man, and no idea what happened.

Others involved behind the scenes include Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, both of whom will also executive produce. Cuoco will also serve as an executive producer on the series’ second season in addition to starring.

In front of the camera, the series also stars Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Nolan Gerard Funk.

Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see The Flight Attendant season 2 debut via HBO Max.
