We’ve been wondering for a while now if The Flash would indeed turn Wally West into Kid Flash, and now it looks like our dreams have come true.

When Wally West, Joe’s newly-discovered son, was introduced on The Flash there was plenty of speculation about if — and when — we would be seeing his superhero counterpart. Then he was hit by the particle accelerator and we just held our breath in anticipation.

But The Flash season 2 finale came and went, and we had yet to see Wally suit up, as Kid Flash or otherwise. But the world has changed now that Barry went back in time and saved his mother, following his father’s death.

According to TV Insider, we’ll be seeing Wally don the supersuit in the premiere episode of The Flash season 3, which will air on October 4, 2016 and be titled, “Flashpoint.”

Check out his new getup below:

The suit is, of course, reminiscent of his comic book counterpart, with the melding of the red and yellow. The biggest difference is probably in his cowl, which is different from both the comics and from Barry’s version found on the show. In the comics, Wally usually sports a small mask over his eyes and a pair of goggles. Whereas Barry’s cowl acts like a hood on his suit, Wally’s is a bit more open and freeing.

Once we get to the premiere of The Flash season 3, it’ll be interesting to see just how much the world has changed since Barry decided to save his mother. Though we can’t read much from a photograph, Wally more or less looks the same, with that serious and determined expression on his face. Time will tell if that’s all that remains of what once was.
