The Flash is a bit lighter in tone — and dialogue — than its sister series, Arrow. Here are our 10 favorite lines from “Revenge of the Rogues.”

The Flash season 1, episode 10, “Revenge of the Rogues,” focused on the return of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), who, along with his new partner, Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), challenged the Flash to a public duel. If the Flash were to refuse, however, Caitlin would be killed. Meanwhile, Barry and Iris’ relationship appeared strained (especially on Iris’ part) in the wake of Barry’s confession, and by the end of the episode she moved in with boyfriend Eddie.

While this was quite a serious episode, there were plenty of quotable quips throughout.

Top 10 quotes from ‘The Flash’ season 1, episode 10, ‘Revenge of the Rogues’

Cisco: I think you mean The Reverse Flash. What? He said it, not me. And, he’s right. Yellow suit, red lightning, and evil. The reverse of Barry.
Caitlin: Meh.
Harrison: Actually, I kinda like it.

We’re glad you like it, Harrison, since you came up with it as the Reverse Flash.

Harrison: Look, Barry, Cisco and I will work with Joe and the police and devise a way to catch Cold. Yes, I said it, Cisco. As soon as it came out of my mouth, I heard it.

Cisco’s nicknames are rubbing off on everyone around him, much to everyone else’s chagrin.

Cisco: Uh, excuse me! If I could have everyone’s attention, please!
Captain Singh: You have our attention, Mr. Ramon.

Cisco calling for attention from his captive audience. Awkward.

Joe: The next time Snart and his pyro-pal show up, you make them sorry they ever messed with you.

Joe West is always good for giving a young superhero a pep talk. We’re inspired!

Cisco: When the heat gun was fired, it increased the surrounding temperature of the air dramatically. Sort of like an extreme heat wave. Heat Wave!
Harrison: Stop doing that.

Cisco is so proud of himself when he stumbles onto the perfect nickname for Mick Rory. Harrison? Not so appreciative.

Harrison: Potentially, these two guns could cancel each other out.
Cisco: Yeah, but to do that you’d have to make them cross streams.
Barry: You mean like Ghostbusters?
Cisco: That film is surprisingly scientifically accurate.
Harrison: And really quite funny.

This moment is already funny with Cisco appreciating the scientific merit of Ghostbusters, but Harrison’s surprising appreciation for the film makes for pure gold.

Snart: Greetings, citizens of Central City. I am Leonard Snart, but you can call me Cold. I’m going to make this very simple for everyone: That red streak you’ve been hearing whispers about, the one mysteriously saving people these past few months — well, surprise, he’s real. Calls himself The Flash. Porter and Main, tonight, sundown. Come out, come out, wherever you are, Flash. Show the whole world you’re real, or this woman dies.

Wentworth Miller is having way too much fun as Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold. He steals every scene he’s in, and this broadcast ultimatum to our hero was an iconic comic book villain moment.

Joe: Your partner’s a real hot head.
Snart: That’s funny.
Joe: You know what’s hilarious, Snart? We got you.
Snart: Congratulations.

There’s something eerie about Miller’s flat delivery of these lines — something that tells us we shouldn’t be underestimating two Prison Break alums being sent to… prison.

Eddie: You know you can come around any time, Joe. Just, give us a heads up. Or not. Come around whenever. You want a key? I’m going to go wait in the truck.

Eddie and Joe may be partners in the field, but Eddie’s forever intimidated by Joe, the protective dad.

Joe: I don’t know why you moved into that death trap in the first place since you’ve still got a perfectly good room here.
Barry: You said you were turning it into a gym.
Joe: We both know I’m not turning it into a gym. Besides, you’ve got me running around enough as it is.
Barry: You know, it is getting hard to hide the blasting in and out of my apartment at all hours of the night from my neighbors. I suppose it would make sense for me to move back in. I mean, I am a Millenial. That is what we do.
Joe: Well, don’t do it on my account. I’ll be fine on my own.
Barry: Oh yeah, me too.

Barry and Joe have a wonderful relationship, and this exchange after Iris has officially moved out highlights just how close they are. It’s sweet, heartfelt, and quippy — a perfect combination.
