The Fault in Our Stars casting is now a hot topic among fans since news has been increasing over the last few weeks. Especially since the Breaking Dawn premiere where producer Wyck Godfrey commented that the script is as good, if not better than the book.

Of course, the next big question is who could play these beloved characters?

Godfrey also stated that “we’ve got all the actresses you would ever want to be in it want to play Hazel Grace,” so the big question is who do you think should play Hazel Grace? Its adaptation will truly depend on this actress’ ability to bring Hazel Grace to life and her chemistry with the actor chosen for Augustus Waters.

Check out our choices for Hazel Grace and tell us who your choice for Hazel would be in the comments.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson has proven that she is a diverse actress ready to take on a leading lady role outside that of Hermione Granger. Her turn in The Perks of Being a Wallflower has proven Emma can take on tough roles and make them her own. She also has the intellectual presence as well as the sassiness to play Hazel. While she probably won’t be most people’s first choice, Emma Watson has a lot to offer the role.

Mae Whitman

Mae Whitman has had a diverse career that started at the age of six. Her first film was When a Man Loves a Woman and since that time Mae has been in numerous movies and TV shows as well as voiced characters such as Tinker Bell. Mae’s most current role is on Parenthood where she plays a sassy, snarky teen. Mae is definitely up for the challenge of playing Hazel and her looks fit the description of Hazel making a solid choice.

Sami Gayle

Sami Gayle is a relative unknown. She can currently be seen on Blue Bloods playing Nicki Reagan-Boyle, the granddaughter of Captain Reagan played by Tom Selleck. Sami certainly has the look of Hazel. Even though she has a smaller resume than the others she brings a lot of talent to the table. Sami has an emotional range to her acting that would suit Hazel.

Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld first burst on to the scene in True Grit playing opposite Matt Damon and stealing scenes. She is also no stranger to adaptations considering she just finished filming Ender’s Game and Romeo and Juliet. Steinfeld has the acting chops to take on the role of Hazel and she also fits the age range. Steinfeld is on the brink of being the next big teen star, playing Hazel could be the ultimate role for her.

Abigail Breslin

Abigail Bresslin began her career at age six in M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs. Since that time she has been in over 30 movies and television shows. Abigail was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Little Miss Sunshine. Abigail has certainly proven ability to play diverse roles and could bring a quirkiness to the role of Hazel. Abigail also has experience working in films about cancer and would bring that knowledge to the role.

Now that you’ve seen our choices for Hazel who do you think should play her? Also, be on the look out for our Augustus casting choices.
