CBS Films has officially completed casting for upcoming book-to-film adaptation, The D.U.F.F., starring Parenthood and The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress Mae Whitman.

The West Wing‘s Allison Janney and Think Like a Man Too are the latest actors to join the cast of upcoming teen comedy, The D.U.F.F., based on the book by Kody Keplinger. The pair join fellow actors Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People), Bella Throne (Blended), Bianca Santos (The Fosters), and Ken Jeong (Community) all of whom were previously announced as having joined the cast.

Helmed by Aim High director, Ari Sandel, and adapted by Bandslam screenwriter, Josh A. Cagan, the upcoming book-to-film adaptation tells the story of teenage Bianca (Whitman), whose life turns upside down after she discovers that the school has secretly dubbed her as The D.U.F.F. (designated ugly fat friend) of her group of high school friends. Devastated, Bianca decides to enlist the help of her neighbor, Toby (Eversman), to give her a makeover and help her overthrow high school queen bee and designated mean girl Madison (Thorne).

The D.U.F.F. is set for release in theaters sometime in 2015.
