The Dark Knight trilogy Blu-ray collector’s set will be hitting stores later this year and now we have our first look at the trilogy’s Blu-ray collector’s set.

Fans were most likely well aware that despite The Dark Knight box set that was released last December, along with The Dark Knight Rises’ DVD/Blu-ray, that at some point we’d be seeing the release of an ultimate collector’s edition.

Update: The Dark Knight trilogy collector’s set release date has been announced.

It appears as though the ultimate collector’s edition box art has been leaked, thanks to Collider we now have images of some interesting miniature versions of the three most popular vehicles from each film, interesting villain-esq packaging, booklets, and nine total discs of additional features and film content.

While there isn’t an official release date announced yet, Warner Bros. announced that the collector’s edition would be hitting stores in the third quarter of 2013. While this is somewhat far away from Dark Knight Rises’ release date, it’s not that unusual to try and go for another money grab later down the road.

The images included were leaked via a Polish website, and while they haven’t been confirmed offically, there’s enough evidence to suggest that this will be the final packaging.

We’ll make sure to announce the official release date for The Dark Knight trilogy collector’s edition when Warner Bros. reveals the details.
