The running time of The Dark Knight Rises seems to have been revealed early, and it’s the longest entry in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy!

AMC Theatres launched its official page for the movie, and lists the length of the movie as two hours and forty-five minutes. While the exact length may change slightly between now and release as Nolan makes any last minute changes, it certainly looks like we’re going to get an action-packed conclusion to the gritty superhero franchise that has captivated us all. First entry Batman Begins ran at 141 minutes, while sequel The Dark Knight was 153 minutes long.

Epic is a word that is thrown around too much nowadays (mind you, that phrase is itself thrown around fairly liberally), but a trailer which can only be defined as epic was released at the MTV Movie awards last night.

Will you be taking extra cushions to the theatres when you watch The Dark Knight Rises?
