The CW fall lineup for 2013 boasts the ambitious new drama series The Tomorrow People, The Originals, Reign, Star-Crossed and The 100. See trailers for all of them here!

These brand new trailers from The CW give us first looks at all the freshman dramas premiering this fall, and we can’t decide which show we’re most excited for!

‘The Originals’

First up is the trailer for The Originals, the spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, which will air Tuesdays at 8/7c. Note that this is very similar to the trailer which aired ahead of the show’s backdoor pilot:

The Originals stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, and more. It was created by The Vampire Diaries exec Julie Plec, who will serve as showrunner.

‘The Tomorrow People’

Next up is The Tomorrow People, a sci-fi drama created by a team of The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Chuck and Nikita producers and starring Robbie Amell, Mark Pellegrino, Peyton List and others.

In this trailer, lead character Stephen (Amell) sets up the series:

The Tomorrow People has a similar premise to the superhero series Heroes. It follows a group of young people scattered across the globe who have developed special abilities, and will air Wednesdays at 9/8c.

‘The 100’

The CW’s second sci-fi drama is The 100, which takes place 97 years in the future. It is based on a book by Kass Morgan, and explores what happens when 100 young delinquents are sent back to Earth following a nuclear explosion:

The 100 stars Henry Ian Cusick, Isaiah Washington, Eli Goree and more, and will debut early 2014.

‘Star-Crossed’

Star-Crossed (previously titled Oxygen) borrows the aliens-in-high-school trope from Roswell, but with a twist: this time, the humans around them are very much aware of the aliens’ identities, and don’t react well to their induction into society:

And yes, there will indeed be a star-crossed romance in there between a human girl and an alien boy. The series stars Aimee Teegarden, Matt Lanter, Grey Damon and Malese Jow, and will debut in 2014.

‘Reign’

The CW’s first historical drama (not counting The Carrie Diaries), Reign is set in 17th century France and follows a young Mary, Queen of Scots as she journeys to the French court to get married.

In the following clip, Mary meets her betrothed:

We expect lots of Gossip Girl-style intrigues, with the addition of colourful period costumes! Reign stars Adelaide Kane, Anna Popplewell and Toby Regbo, and will air Thursdays at 9/8c.
