Gillian Anderson will be taking on the role of the former British prime minister in season 4 of Netflix’s The Crown.

The Crown season 3 hasn’t even hit Netflix yet, but it looks like the streaming service is already making preparations for the next chapter of the series. Gillian Anderson will join the ever-changing cast as the infamous “Iron Lady,” Margaret Thatcher.

We know that The Crown’s upcoming season 3 will cover the events of the 1960s, and with this casting announcement, it looks like we’ll be moving into the 70s and beyond for the fourth season of the popular show. Thatcher was the prime minister of the U.K. between 1979 and 1990 and the head of the Conservative Party between 1975 and 1990. She was Britain’s first female prime minister.

You can currently catch Gillian Anderson starring as a sex therapist in the acclaimed Sex Education on Netflix.
