Three new clips have been released for The Book Thief movie, showing life at home for Liesel.

Three new The Book Thief clips join the recent international trailer for The Book Thief as part of a marketing push for the film adaptation of Markus Zusak’s bestselling novel of the same name.

In the first clip, Rudy Steiner (Nico Liersch) interupts the Hubermann family during a meal. He has come to take Liesel (Sophie Nélisse) to school, and while Hans (Geoffrey Rush) is amused, Rosa (Emily Watson) demands to know why Rudy is good enough to accompany Liesel. Rudy’s answer? “I’m almost twelve.”

The second clip shows the growing relationship between Liesel and Max (Ben Schnetzer). As Liesel practices her words using her dictionary, Max requests a description of the day outside. His line, “If your eyes could speak, what would they say” has been used previously in The Book Thief trailer.

The final clip focuses on Liesel and Max, who have found a routine by now. When Liesel brings Max a handful of snow instead of a weather report, things suddenly become very mischievous in the Hubermann basement.

These clips are part of a determined marketing push on behalf of The Book Thief movie, as we approach the film’s November 15 premiere. Previous clips have shown Liesel stealing her first book, Rudy catching her in the act, and Hans creating the dictionary for Liesel.

Excerpts from John Williams score for the film were also recently released, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the Academy Award-winning composer.

The Fault in Our Stars author John Green contacted Markus Zusak to compliment him on the film adaptation of his book, resulting in a Twitter lovefest between the two bestselling authors.

The Book Thief premieres in the United States on 15 November 2013. The film will premiere internationally in 2014.
