Sheldon lets his caring (and excessively concerned) side out of the bag in the preview and stills for The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 9.

Sheldon’s anxieties may get the best of him when Leonard has minor surgery in The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 9. The episode, titled “The Septum Deviation,” will feature Leonard’s decision to have his deviated septum taken care of – but his nose will probably be the last thing Leonard has to worry about.

The preview for “The Septum Deviation” suggests that Sheldon grows rather zealously protective of Leonard in his fractional infirmity… and a minor blackout does not improve matters.

By the looks of things, it’s not only Leonard who is going to need some recuperation by the time The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 9 draws to a close.

The still photos from “The Septum Deviation” make it clear that Sheldon doesn’t leave off the mother-hen-ing even after Leonard is discharged. The images also give us a hint at a what Raj, Howard, and Bernadette will be focusing their attention on in The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 9.

The synopsis for “The Septum Deviation” offers more context for Leonard’s surgery, as well as dropping news of a surprisingly serious development in Raj’s life.

“When Leonard gets minor surgery on his nose, Sheldon is the one in need of sympathy,” CBS says. “Meanwhile, Raj’s parents’ impending divorce causes Howard and Bernadette to work on their own marriage.”

It looks like it won’t just be Leonard getting a few things straightened out on this week’s episode!

The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 9, “The Septum Deviation,” will air on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
